What will my child do while in Community Speech Therapy sessions?

Depending on your child’s speech, language, or communication needs, we will focus on:

  • Receptive language: Improving understanding of directions, questions, and vocabulary

  • Expressive language: Building sentence structure, grammar, vocabulary, and storytelling skills

  • Articulation & phonology: Helping children produce speech sounds more clearly and accurately

What will my child do during their online Reading Intervention?

Our specialized reading intervention is based on your child’s reading levels and developmental age. We will focus on a range of reading skills including:

  • Phonological and phonemic awareness (e.g., manipulating sounds in words)

  • Sound-letter correspondence and early decoding strategies

  • Building vocabulary through explicit instruction and context

  • Strengthening oral language comprehension to support reading comprehension

  • Teaching sentence structure and grammar to improve syntax understanding

  • Improving working memory and language processing for reading tasks

  • Developing narrative skills, including sequencing and retelling

  • Visualizing and Verbalizing strategies for school-aged readers with comprehension challenges
